I received a Black Berry 8800 two days ago. I am very satisfactory about the fast deviver. The phone has almost functions that I need, but the phone need to be unclocked before it is bought. Although the owner directed me to unclock the phone, I find it hard to do. Therefore, until now I have not used it yet. However, it is an inexpensive but convenient phone. It has voive-activated dialing, radio, MMS, GPS, and so on. In conclusion, I like this phone because of its price as well as its functions.
Well, this is an old model so I can not expect it to work like the new models now. One thing that really surprises me is that on this model, you actually have to set the time and date. Unlike other cellphones, even those that are about as old as this model, it automatically sets the time and date in fact you don't have a way to change it. I remember my first flip phone samsung in 2003, there is no way to set the time and date because the cellphone automatically sets it. I don't know if it is because this is a GSM phone or what. But as I use it everyday, I am discovering a lot of good functions and uses of this Blackberry 8800. and oh, there is no camera on this unit. But for the price that I got it, $50.00, what the heck?
After my Blackberry Pearl "died" on me...i switched to the Pantech Matrix. Even tho i do text quite a bit..i wasn't as impressed with the Matrix and missed my Blackberry...just been using this one a couple of days and so far so good...my two biggest "problems" with it: No camera! (my fault for not looking at the description closer) and you can't disable the password protection (but it's a used phone..not all have had this done to them).overall...pretty happy with my purchase...think i may still "cruise" ebay looking for a great deal on a Blackberry Curve...but def. sticking with the Blackberry!
I had a Blackberry before but wanted one with larger buttons. I like the size of the buttons on this one, and how it operates. Everything works great for me, BUT the person I'm talking to has a very hard time HEARING ME (even if I raise my voice). I took it by a local cell phone company and they say there's no adjustment to be made for that. So I have to listen to complaints at almost every call. . .
This is a great phone for my husband. Doesn't have a camera which is good cause he's not allowed one where he works. He can get and send emails and texts and that is basically all he needs.
