It's hard to believe how humorless this follow-up to Monty Python and the Holy Grail is. The entire troupe didn't participate, but director Terry Gilliam and a couple of the other members still manage to snatch tedium from the jaws of what should have been farce. The production is notable only as an example of how even the most talented people can sometimes come up with a dud.

While there are some moments of mirth, the movie is mostly a plodding tale that never grabs the audience. The only thing that stands out in this movie is its mediocrity. Even die hard Monty Python fans should be warned.

This is a great, weird little film, and right now nobody is streaming it. Be aware, though, that while it is Pythonesque in places, and a number of the guys appear in it, it is NOT a Monty Python movie. Nor does it have much to do with Through the Looking Glass, so don’t expect Alice to show up. And while it is rated PG, it contains a fair amount of sex, violence, scatological humor (people are constantly relieving themselves on or near the hero), and nudity. All that being said, I really enjoyed it.

An excellent film of a great Director, Terry Gilliam, in fact I believe that it was its first film outside the Monthy Python troup, in his films you can note that he likes the details, like the costumes, sets and environment adjustment make you feel that you are in the middle age and with a very good load of English humor. The main reason to buy this DVD it´s because I consider that it´s a cult film and probable it takes much time to go out in Blue-Ray. Thanks
