Great read! Although the characters annoyed me. BEWARE....if you have NOT read this book, do not read my review. It contains spoilers. I did not like the way Darnel behaved after finding out what kind of woman Keisha was. I felt bad for him when he got his heart broken, but he was nothing more than a glutton for punishment. He was confused on whether or not he wanted a life with her, and only minutes after claiming to love her, he calls her a "W---e." Okay...if he felt this way, why continue with the in & out? Why say, bacically, "I love you...." and "You're a w***e" all in the same breath. Drop her and move on! Instead, he goes psycho, doing things that clearly suggested he didn't want her, but then talk about how he wants to be with her! I also found it extremely annoying that Jamie behaved so childish, and always felt she had a right to run the lives of her dad and brother. Another thing I found to be stupid, was Sandra. She started out as nice, but ended up being not what she seemed. There was no introduction to this "change of behavior" with her. I felt this should have been brought on gradually, to prepare readers. Nope...just one minute Sandra and James are this happy cute couple, and then BAM!...we're hit with a drastic change. The part that made no sense was, Jamie kept telling her dad about Sandra being this gold digger; yet, wasn't she hell bent on setting her brother up with Sandra? Even in Jamie's thought, we read nothing but nice things about Sandra. She even went so far and said that she wished her dad or her brother could find someone like Sandra. So why wasn't it until Sandra DID end up with Jamie's dad, that this gold digger mess came up? Seems to me if Jamie knew about Sandra all along, she wouldn't have even attempted setting this woman up with her brother! Then, all during Sandra's presence in the story, she had no car. Next, "her car" is in James' driveway! There was never anything mentioned about Sandra buying a car, or James, or whoever bought her the car. Just a, now-you-see-it type of deal. And why would Louis even move Jamie into his home, or even have her as his woman, knowing all along what kind of trouble he had going on??? Overall, the book was great. Just wish these characters had a bit more common sense.Read full review
