This is my first ibanez S guitar to own. After setting it up with 9-42 strings and adjusting the action and bow of the neck as well as pickup height and angle of the bridge i got the best setup i could out of it. Plays and sounds great considering its just an average priced guitar. the pickups are good for stock pickups. the guitar is super easy to play and is in tune.

I got this product used and in fairly good condition. It was going to be a big rework for me. The original finish, neck, fretboard, frets, and tremelo were all in excellent condition. I would have to replace all of the hardware (tuners, knobs, pup rings). Kept the black chrome locking nut and string tree. Also removed all three pickups and did a custom split-coil wiring job to my own personal liking. Result: This thing fixes up to a murderous axe! I had to spend almost as much fixing it up as I did to purchase it $316 + $285. It was worth it though. The stock INF pickups are bad. You can play some dirty blues or mushy rock with them, but they are pretty bad. If you are considering this axe, be aware that pup replacement is a must. Also make sure to get "F spaced" pickups. It won't play right without them. The original owner put in a Dimarzio D-Sonic in the bridge, which I was considering keeping. I couldn't stand it though because it was not "F spaced." The top and bottom E strings both did not ring out because of the closer pole spacing. I could tell it would make a fine pickup, but not on this guitar. So, long story short, this is a great fixer-upper guitar, but expect to spend a lot of money. The original hardware pits very easily. Also, you will have to replace all of the stock pickups. (Make sure to get "F spaced" pups for the humbuckers) There are some sweet finishes for this Ibanez though, and non-licensed FR-type trem is a gem. The string spacing might give you some grief if you are used to closer spaced strings. It does kind of feel like a plank from about 12th fret up. All in all, a very good axe to fix up and rock out.Read full review
great guitar overall. ultra wide flat neck. 22 fret shredders delight, body weight, well it`s a feather hanging from the shoulders, Ibanez / Floyd designed whammy -- swing away it can handle it, the pick up design is based on the mid-range of the color spectrum -- could always up grade -- it`s a personal choice -- don`t get me wrong the factory magnants still kick ass. GETTING HARDER TO FIND FOR THE SOUTHPAW GUYS !!!

This guitar has everything you could ask for. The neck action is fast and smooth. The zero point tremolo works perfectly. The guitar stays in tune even after the hardest strumming. This is the best guitar I have ever owned.
