I bought this guitar used after seeing an old YouTube video review. (This particular model with a distressed finish was discontinued a while ago, so it was unavailable new.) The best thing about the design of this guitar is the access to the upper frets. You can play notes on the 22nd fret comfortably. I am also happy with the sound of the pickups and the volume and tone pots. You can get a lot of different sounds by adjusting the knobs. The tuners and bridge feel and look solid. Overall, I'm very happy with this guitar and I wish I had found out about ESP LTD guitars sooner.

Could use better tuners and pots. Sounds great, plays almost as good as higher end guitars. Overall for the money this is a pretty sweet guitar. I use it for open mic night.

A very good guitar that plays and sounds very good. A real bang for the buck when cost is considered. I would say that this guitar is a great buy for beginners and intermediate players. It is impressive and I intend to use it in public. I'm glad I purchased this guitar.

PROS: Gorgeous finish (I got the trans purple that needs to be seen to be believed), great action out of the box, and the stock pickups are actually pretty good (nice and chunky with good note clarity). I feel that the quality of this instrument surpasses that of a similarly appointed Epiphone Les Paul costing over $100 more, with a more comfortable neck, to boot. Did I mention how gorgeous this guitar is? CONS: The hardware isn't the best quality. It's serviceable, but it will need to be upgraded at some point. The strap button will absolutely need to be replaced shortly after purchasing. It nearly fell from the strap twice. YMMV: This guitar is very dense, and rather heavy. This is a plus for me, but I know a good amount of people prefer a lighter guitar for whatever reason. BOTTOM LINE: To say this guitar provides a lot of bang for the buck does not do it justice. It is a truly gig-worthy guitar that is absolutely outstanding for the price. I do intend on upgrading the pickups at some point; a beauty of this caliper deserves a pair of SD Black Winters. However, the hardware will be getting replaced first, starting with a pair of strap locks.Read full review

I have played this lemon drop exclusively for 2 years. I could not ask for a better guitar. Split coil pickups are awesome, sustain is wonderful
