You’d do just as good or maybe better money wise to go to “the BIG do it yourself stores!” and buy a roll of tool box drawer liner - cut it to fit (rubbery perforated material) and when that piece wears out cut another off the roll. I did._Hope this helped.

This Music Nomad work mat is a great addition to a luthier's tool kit, whether you work on stringed instruments for a living or as a hobby. I use it for routine maintenance of my guitars: cleaning, restringing, setting intonation, tuning instruments with double-locking vibrato bridges (i.e. - Floyd Rose, Ibanez Edge, and similar designs), tightening input jacks, and so on. It's expensive (I have no doubt that the markup on this mat is well in excess of 100%), but it's exactly what I needed to keep my guitars from sliding around when I work on them. The fact that it's guaranteed not to leave marks on even the most delicate nitrocellulose finish is what sold me on it - and I can attest to the fact that it leaves the lacquer on my Gibsons unmarred. I recommend this product.

Good mat. A must for those of us who service our own guitars. I wish they made a larger size, though. Another 8 inches in length would help - most work benches are long.

Good Mat for a guitar bench .. doesn't slide or mar the finish .. even Nitro is safe

Perfect for changing strings and repairs. Safe for all finishes which is a plus. If it was 4 inches longer it would span the entire length of most guitars but otherwise it's perfect.
