This thing is great. Mind you, it's a tad awkward for a working situation because you have to disassemble it instead of just folding it up but, if you're like me and use it only at home, it works great. Needs a pad at the top scissors point but that's an easy fix.

This stand is light, which is nice, but it's not very study. I will use it with my acoustic guitar, but I would never use it for an electric bass, or even an electric guitar; it's simply too easy for the instrument to fall over. If the V-angle was about three to five inches wider, it would be much more stable. IN addition, the length of the base poles should be about two inches longer and further back; otherwise, the instrument tips backward and over too easily. Not really worth even the $9.25 I paid for it. I bought the Fender NW-01 folding stand on sale for $7.62 (normally sells for $11.95), and I think it's more stable than this NW-01 stand. I can put my Rickenbacker bass in the Fender stand with no issues and no worries. Bottom line: I would NOT recommend this NW-01 stand.

I have three of these and may buy some more. I wouldn't use them for doing gigs because they might come apart but they make perfectly serviceable display stands. I say they might come apart because they are basically pressed together.
