If you are looking for an inexpensive bass to start learning with this one fits the bill. It is almost ready to play out of the box. Every bass from this price to thousands of dollars needs a good setup before you start playing. I tuned this one up, made some intonation adjustments and adjusted the pickup height as a start. Plugged it into my amp and was pleased to hear a pretty good sound coming out. I am not a big fan of stamped bridges so I replaced it with a high mass one. Tone and sustain improved immediately. I also improved the bridge ground contact to reduce hum and Lined all cavities with copper foil and soldered ground wires. The bass is now dead quiet. The pickups output is a little low but acceptable for practice or small gigs. I ended up replacing the nut with a bone one added new budget pickups and quality strings. I now have a bass that sounds like one that costs a lot more. I kept the electronics because they do the job. All in all I spent about fifty dollars to make this bass a jazz master. The finish is well done but kind of soft so it will get scratched and dented with hard use. I put on a few costs of hard wax to protect the finish. For the price this is a winner for a starter bass. Fret work is good and sound is good in stock form. Get this bass professionally setup or do it yourself and you will be surprised how it plays. If you want it to sound great change what I did and you will have a bass that will compete with any other starter bass costing 200 to 300 dollars. I am very impressed with this bass and would recommend to anyone.Read full review

Amazing that this was shipped to my door for $70.01 . Needed a new nut , a good bit of fret work and a setup to have acceptable playability. I wouldn't reccomend an instrument this inexpensive if you can't do this work yourself. Buy something better, you'll save money in the end. To pay a pro tech to do the work I did to make this playable would cost more than the bass itself. Even will all its faults, amazing for so little money.

Watched reviews before purchasing and knew what I was getting. Definitely got my moneys worth. Be aware that there is little attention to detail on assembly, mine had a loose rattling pickup, 5 minutes and all was well. Playable out of the box but could benefit from an a thorough setup to make it a much better bass. Put a few drops of oil on the tuner gears. Dialed in the truss rod and lowered the action. Note that the neck is wide and the body is very light weight making it slightly neck heavy.

This Glarry/ clone Fender Jazz Bass is a really good bass for a crazy low price! Fit, finish, electronics, playability are all as good as the brand name instruments. I tuned it up and plugged it in, and the action and intonation were great. Seriously, spend the $65 and get one, or their P-bass for $55.

Overall happy with this bass. Pretty good tone and playable out of the box with some frets buzzing (not fully seated in neck). After doing a setup on it,it plays and sounds good. Classic style and good value for the money.
