The Ibanez ART 100 is a guitar that can be used with any musical genre. When I first looked into this guitar, I had it pegged as more of a blue's/hard rock kind of guitar. But to be quite honest, after having it a few weeks. This guitar is more set in my opinion to work best with heavier styles of music. Granted it doesn't have a wizard neck like the RG series. But I'll be honest, I'd pick this over any of my Ibanez RG's when it comes to getting the heaviest of tones. Even the stock pickups are hot enough to get a very articulate "Low End Twang" as I call it when playing single line riffs. Also with it's "Neck-Set" design you really get a great low end resonance with tons of sustain. The neck pickup sounds good as well. But for my style of playing, I tend to lean on the bridge pickup. The last thing I wanted to point out was due to the "Set-Neck" design the cutaway really allows you to get as high up on the neck as you choose, Even past the fret board itself without having to tweak your wrist. I've played Les Paul styled bodies before, but none that off this much range. This guitar is worth what I paid, but even if your paying retail, it's a must in any guitar players arsenal. Heavy Djent style music all the way to the blue's. I hope this helps whomever may read it. Good Things, @postmortemlover & @theepicquestion on Instagram, Vine, Tumbler, and Twitter. The Look/Feel/Sound of this guitar are awesome. I decided to buy it because I started on an Ibanez, and because of affordability, and it has proven to be a very nice guitar. People seem to think that a guitar is as good as the price tag says- but in reality what it all boils down to is the amount of time and effort you put into it- You can tell the craftsmanship was thorough and thought out. the guitar has a seamless finish, and is all around very smooth and aesthetically pleasing - the set neck allows for strength and stability and is easy to play- and with some fine tuning it is comparable to guitars that cost twice as much. The guitar has some pretty nice stock hardware- it stays in tune, even in drop tunings- has all the heavy lows for them devilish palm-muted chugs , and the shrill highs of those heavenly harmonics. It is worth every penny i spent- If given the oppurtunity to buy one, do not be afraid, this is a solid investment for any level guitar player- I do not regret buying it, and if it were stolen i would definitely consider buying another one.Read full review
