The PSA1 is a studio boom arm for radio, broadcast, studio, and home use. The PSA1 offers a horizontal reach of 820 mm, a vertical reach of 840 mm and full 360-degree rotation. It is supplied with Velcro cable wraps and both desk-clamp and desk-insert style attachments for versatile mounting in desks up to 55 mm thick (clamp) or 70 mm (insert). Designed for the Rode Procaster and Podcaster, the PSA1 supports most microphones weighing between 1.5 lbs and 2.4 lbs when combined with shock mount. Lightweight with great features
Smooth, it moves with ease, I'm glad it has the option to not just go on the edge of the desk, but also could be drilled into the middle if need be. I have a work bench that is my desk and this is perfect for it, I can place it wherever I want. Setup was super easy. Was on the fence between this and the Blue Compass, but I'm happy with this Rode.

good boom arm but with critical flaws.
Worked great while it lasted, the base however is made with a very fragile resin based polymer and i wasn't putting really any strain on it, i think perhaps it just fractured over time from being clamped to the desk. i was moving my mic very lightly and the base dome suddenly shattered into a bunch of pieces. Only used it for around 20 days before it broke. Thought this mic was one of the best i guess not, they went real cheap on the mount they should have used a durable polymer instead of resin. Might of had something to do with the temperature as well it was very cold but the base is practically made out of glass and broke into 100 pieces shattering everywhere.
