I mounted this scope on a new Winchester Model 70 feather weight compact in 308 . The scope compliments the design of this firearm very nicely . Sighting in three other rifles each with a different brand of scope including Leupold , Redfield and Nikon . Out of all of them I liked the Burris in particular . Super clear , adjustments were precise and contributed to sub MOA groups at 100 yds. A great product at a fair price. I am replacing the Nikon with another Burris . I had to resort to my reading glasses on the same power setting to view the bullet holes on the target only through the Nikon . The others were easy to see without them.

This is the 2nd cheapest scope I own. I have more than a couple burris scopes, because it's the only brand that has yet to disappoint me. The fullfield line has been in continuous production since 1975, and that should tell you something. If it was a bad scope, it would have been out of production years ago, because people wouldn't buy it. This one is the 3-9x40 with a simplified BDC type reticle. It's clear, durable, simple, and cheap. AND it has a lifetime warranty that the likelihood of you needing is relatively slim. I really don't think you can do better for the money. And I say that after having tried almost all of the well known brands. The only one that came close was the redfield revolution series, which is no longer in production. If you're on a tight budget and you need a good scope without all the bells and whistles and tacticool features, just buy this and don't look back. Seriously.Read full review

Ive been usign these Fullfields IIs on all our hunting rifles for many years. My hunting buddies use them as well. We used them for 20years now and they very clear and extremely rugged. They hold zero on rifles that are 300win mag, 30-06, 308, 270 etc. They say you get what you pay for on scopes, this is not true with this scope. You get ALOT more than you pay for with this scope. Best for people who want a rugged hunting scope that will get beat up. We have taken this scopes through all weather conditions and they hold up perfect so far.

This is my 3rd Burris scope and it seems to be a significant improvement over the other 2 (both of which were older models). The eye relief seems much less critical on this scope than the earlier models; it is very easy to adjust to ensure a sharply focused reticle; and the windage and elevation adjustments are quite precise. Fit and finish are excellent and uniform. The image clarity rivals my Leupold Vari-X IIc. Recommended without reservation.

As usual it's the brighter and clearer than many scopes costing hundreds more. I own 4 of them purchased over the years and the brightness has not changed. The finish on this one is not quite as good as the 30 year old one but for the money they cant be beat.
