Doing the 11 meter mod is very easy. I have owned several of these radio's over the past 20 years. It is the best radio you can get in this price range. It has excellent audio, even with only the stock mic. There are a few mods that can be done on the Modulation too but why bother, it will just make you radio splash adjacent frequencies. The 11 meter mod is cool, but this also has options in 10 and 12 meter to activate repeaters and frequency splits. You can open the claifier too.. When it's open, you get at least a 10 kc or 12 kc slider.... it's not a smart move to do that because you will also transmit off frequency when you open the clarifier if you mod it. Back in the 1970's and 1980's it was cool to mod the clairifier because you could get the in-between channels on the 11 meter band such as 4-A or 22-A or 19-A..... Now there's no need. This is 35 watts AM FM SSB a bit more. It's also an excellent radio because the rf output can be adjusted to 2-watts to run a 10-meter liner with no distortion. I highly recommend this radio.... I wish the new model RCI 2950's were as solid as this but sometimes, new is not BETTER!Read full review
