A good little linear. If using for a CB you gotta make sure you can regulate your output to around 2 watts, the Galaxy DX959 for example, has a variable, RF output, as pushing 4-5 standard watts through these linear will kill em early and make you sound like a overmodulating fool out there. A small fan blowing on unit ,or just doing some short talking is best. While in standby, just listening , your audio input picks up way more than your RF Gain will alone. I keep the output switch off, between conversations. Keep it cool, protect your device.

this unit is small and compact. It tucks away easily. after setting the system up I can say that it didnt increase my SWR and it transmits approx. 40watts using a beqarcat 505xl radio and an 102" stainless steel whip mounted using an 5" spring upon top of my stainless toolbox. my SWR is approx. 1.25

Hooked this up to an old Realistic Navajo 23 ch. base that only transmits 2 watts, I talked to someone in Indiana from Louisiana on AM. According to my watt meter it's pushing 100 watts. Awesome !!!!!!
