I purchased this pedal for a friend. Before I turned it over to him, I had to know how well it performed. I plugged a guitar into it and two cords from the two out puts. Playing into it in the mono mode, the signal came out dry from one out put, and delayed from the other. The stereo mode yielded a delay signal plus the direct signal from both out puts. All the knob functions worked well.My friend plans to use it with a pedal steel guitar and this pedal came with recomendations from another pedal steel pro who swears by them. While I have not heard from him on it yet, I can say ,as a delay user, that it does the job for the price I paid. If you want a warm analog type sound for a few repeats as opposed to a billowing echo, then this might be the unit you will want.
It's a great sounding pedal that, for the money, offers quite versatile delay. I've been using one for almost 10 years, now. It has barely survived, though. The pedal is almost entirely plastic... actually, it is entirely plastic! That being said, it's not the best touring pedal for a lot of musicians. Mine has been drug around the entirety of the American Midwest and has only suffered from one missing knob and a cracked battery compartment, now held on via scotch tape. The SAD-1 has a great natural delay tone, but unfortunately colors your tone when not in use. It is not a true bypass pedal, so if you want to keep your signal absolutely clean, you'll have to mod this or use some kind of a/b switch to block this out. That being said, this pedal has kept its home on my pedal board for 10 years, the same cannot be said of any other pedal I own.Read full review
Well lets just say I have been around, been playing and using true vintage gear all my life. 35 years of playing live music. I had the need for a inexpensive delay to put in a gig bag. So I got more than I bargained for! At first it seemed tame, but after spending about a 1/2 hour with it, I was in love. The price was great and it works really GREAT in single or stereo mode. Another cool feature is that it was 2 output jacks, so this makes it really easy if you like to use 2 amps, as I do. I play this pedal in a chain that goes like this Les Paul 76, tim shaws, a 78 Big Muff OCD Arion Delay SAD-1 Fender Vibrolux Reverb amp ( 1965) and on the left ( 2nd out: stereo) a 1965 Fender Princeton Reverb. And yes the Angels do sing!!

This is a great pedal! Sits well in the mix of the guitar. The delay sound very smooth and has such a great analog tone. I've already used it on a couple projects in the studio. Very easy to use as well!
Still fiddling with it, probably needs some fine tuning(time) to dial in sounds
