A really nice limb & trim chainsaw, very lite, easy to start, and with the 3/8 low profile chain and a 14 inch bar, It cuts like crazy. The oiler is not adjustible, and is a direct gear drive from the crankshaft, so it has an excess of oil, cut a small 25 ft pine tree down, and cut up into pieces, and it used 2/3 tank of bar oil. Maintenance is also a little difficult since removing the air filter and cleaning the Carb compartment, requires removing the rear handle, throttle linkage, and an additional plastic piece along the backside of the Carb. compartment. I would Not recommend a novice doing that much disassembly to work in the Carburator compartment. However If you need a lite and very small trim chainsaw and don't mind taking it to an authorized repair center, then this might be the chainsaw for you.Read full review

Shipping was fast. The saw look good out of the box clean had everything it needed. Well that's about the only good thing I can about the saw went to use it the other day gas was pouring out from the saw turned out the carb is bad and it needs a new one.

Purchased this saw specifically for incorporating into a DYI firewood processor. The 14" bar and chain makes it safer than using my hand held 24" chainsaw. I have several Husqvarna chainsaws and have used them for many years now without having too many problems. I do find that the newer models, with computer ignitions, are a little more difficult to start but they seem to have more power. I have adapted a hinged mounting plate to the saw so that it can be rocked up and down at the end of a log trough. I use it to very quickly cut branches and small diameter wood to 18" lengths for my maple syrup boiling arch. Since getting this 235 I have cut more than 7 cord of small firewood without a problem. Just keep it well maintained and keep a sharp blade and it should last for many years of good service.Read full review
I purchased the Husqvarna because I have been favorably impressed with other power equipment which I own of the same brand, i.e., line trimmer, edger, and back pack blower. The chain saw is easy to start, and has sufficient power to handle any projects around the home. I like the light weight and relatively low vibration which reduce the strain on the shoulders. This chain saw replaces a Craftsman which was harder to start, and a good bit more difficult to handle, i.e., heavier with more vibration.
This saw is ideal for around the house or light logging. It fires right up and is a strong runner, besides being easy to carry around.
