Bought this saw to replace a 35-year-old Craftsman of same engine size. I could no longer get replacement parts. The Husqvarna is only acceptable. It's heavy for a saw this size and a little awkward but has a very good chain adjustment feature and is relatively quiet. Huge drawback is the inability to adjust the carburetor. This model requires a factory tool said to be available to dealers. I live at 8100 feet altitude and it would barely idle with factory setting. I had to pay a local dealer $15 to tune it. Even so it does not match my old saw in cutting power. It is probably still not properly tuned for altitude. Bootleg tools are apparently available on the internet and I'll probably spend some more $$ to get one. Be warned--if you don't live at sea level you are going to feel some frustration. Maybe restricting carb adjustment is US or CA EPA rule but it makes tuning for optimum performance almost impossible.Read full review
This is a great lightweight chainsaw. It's easy to crank and runs flawlessly after long hours of use. I've been clearing out an acre of under brush and dropping a few good size trees along the way. I have cut so much until the blade needs to be sharpened which is another great feature; you can remove the blade without any extra tools. Overall, a great buy.
Lightweight chain saw, works ok when you get it running. I got a new one and was hard to start and keep running especially when hot. Chain has less cutting teeth so is slower going through cuts. I though I getting a quality Husquvana product but these are Poulin saw rebranded and what i would say is a lower quality piece of equipement. I would get a different model Husquarvana or if satisfied with this saws preformance just spend less and get a poulin. ( I did take this saw in for warranty repair the first week I recieved it and it does now start better, perhaps if you are thinking of buying this saw , it may be better to get a refurbished)
i was needing a smaller saw for branching, my bigger saw was a little to heavy for this job, i bought the husqvarna for branching ,its light, has plenty enough power, and starts easy , the price between refurbished and new was enough for me to take the chance,,,,,glad i did, very nice saw and does a nice job
great little saw good to have around. light to carry. powerfull enough to take down 24 inch trees. just right good grip on it
