fits, works. Perfect rubber durometer numbers depending where checked. The look of the material is beautiful. The holes have perfect anglearity when viewed under a strongly reinforced humungous maxcon jello discoverer.. The clamp assembly is made of unobtanium and would show fabulous on the mechanics runway. All in everything I must admit this is the god given perfection that only a worshipping female of our dialect could have stumbeled upon on puprpose using military gps reconing and true eyeball sighting of terrain. all everything is wowing to me! this review was written prior to a bathroom break. of a lenghly sit down group consideration meeting of my observational team members so be it as all had a hand in it.

I have a Stihl 290 and could only use the fuel filter and spark plug for my saw. The air filter is of lesser quality than the stock one (it doesn't have the foam-type material on it) and doesn't fit my saw. The one in the pic is what was sent so I guess it's my fault not noticing the air filter is for the smaller Stihl saws. On the fuel hose the grommet that seals the fuel tank was too big to fit into the tank and after trying to push it into the tank for 15mins I gave up in fear of cracking my fuel tank. I had to reuse my old fuel line which was thankfully in good shape. The spark plug works fine. All in all it's cheap and you get what you pay for. I'd recommend going straight to a Stihl rep for this stuff.

The Stihl MS290 is a great intermediate work saw. From fire wood to pruning, it is well balanced and easy to handle yet has good power for a saw of its class. The fast chain speed makes limbing easy as well as handles felling of small timber a snap. I also own a Stihl MS150 for small jobs and an 056av super for the big trees. Ive been using the my 056av for better than 20 years...what can I say, its a Stihl! You can break 'em but you can't kill 'em. Best saws on the market ! Ive used most all brands of saws in my twenty+ years in the timber industry...I always go back to Stihl. Power, value and reliability...need I say more?
Would recommend this MS290 Farm Boss to anyone I have had a few saws in my day and for the Money you can't go wrong!!! These are very strong runners and well built mine fired right up after just a few pulls at first go now just one pull with choke on and put on reg mode and starts right up 2nd pull at most....If your looking for that powerfull saw to cut up all those cords of firewood without breaking the bank or your back then this is the saw for you....Just my only advise would be do your looking first just don't pop at the first one you see as some can be worn out just read and look at all desciptions first and you will be happy with your purchase as I am with mine and am looking for menny more years of great use out of this saw as we know the reputation of there durability!!! A tree fell on my saw and bent the side plate. This made chain installation difficult. This replacement part solved that problem. The product is somewhat thinner but appears quite sturdy.
