I am still reading it, but so far I like it. I do wish the author would specify if the reader should have some kind of notebook for the questions or if we should just think on them as we read. A companion workbook would be nice to go with it. I appreciate her POV and directness.

I know how to lose weight. I've done it before. I know HOW. It's the want to I haven't had. Sure, I want to be thinner. I want to wear smaller clothes. I want to feel better and more confident. I want my husband to be proud of the woman on his arm. But, I also WANT chocolate cake and ice cream. Apparently, that want is bigger because it's the one that always wins. But, this book is really really helping me to change my mindset about food. I'm making better choices without any real effort and the weight is slowly coming off. Again, without a whole lot of torture and effort. This is a really wonderful book. It has truly changed the way I think about food and the choices I make. This book was just what I needed to jumpstart my life. It is NOT a diet book, it is a LIFESTYLE choice. We are all equipped with the information we need to make good diet choices, but we may not be equipped with the most important things of all...determination, and the confidence that we WILL succeed. With God's help and strength when we are weak, he will make you a victor. I don't count calories or carbs, and I don't count points, I COUNT ON GOD. I have lost 12 pounds since I bought this book, read it cover to cover and followed the advice within. Honestly. I am watching what I eat, only exercise 3 times a week, but ask God to help me made the right choice, the choice that helps me to make my body a temple, suitable for the Lord to call 'Home.' I have recommended this book to all my friends and sister, who all want to lose weight, but they think I went off the deep end. I believe I will have the last laugh, as they say. If God if for me, who can be against? Certainly not the devil and his tempting treats. God is my strength. I shall not fail. BELIEVE.Read full review
