I still don't have my Comcast blast 200 speed. I'm getting 94-97 steady after install. Comcast tells me I need a dual band modem router. It will have two wireless lights on front even though I hard wire the desktop. It might be a Comcast story. Will see I ordered an arris tg1682g

They are terrible and the reception is real bad .....Don't waste you money you can google the difference of this box you are allowed to buy compared to what Comcast offers to rent to you. I see why they let you buy this because you wont like it and will want tot got back t the rented box... The speed test sassy it all..... Comcast box test came back at 80 to 90 the TG862@G all came back at 40-50 ...I tried a repeater (2) and it did not help ....The only way you can get something out of this id to buy a wireless router and bridge a port (google that )... I would not pay over 25.00 for this and if you ok with speeds of 25-40 .....again you can google the difference of this box compared to what Comcast rents to you

My modem came with no wifi, unfortunately I had already gotten rid of the modem I was renting through the cable company so now I have no wifi. Although, I could sent the modem back to the company and they would send me back a replacement (they said as much to me) that does have working wifi, I would have to be without cable, internet, and a phone until it made its way to them and then back to me so I will just do with out the wift. $40 forever is still a way better deal than the $10 a month my cable company wanted. If your getting this to get out of renting from the cable company I'd suggest not getting rid of their box until you know for sure the box you receive works.

I received this cable modem and immediately called Comcast to help set it up. As it turned out that was a mistake. If you just connect it, it will call up a set up screen on your computer and will set itself up with the exception of the telephone line. You have to call Comcast to get that done. Once I reset it to factory defaults by the setup button it was fine.

The modem worked ok but the phone part didn't. I had the same model and the phone part worked fine. Xfinity has an easy setup. I just went back to my old modem and everything is working fine.
