I've read the other reviews and (IMHO) they lack detail. Full disclosure, I am a musician/computer nerd. I put the unit through it's paces. While the LED's on the front panel are fun to look at, they don't really serve any practical purpose. The 3 color bars (columns?) react to the music but that's about it. One thing that would have been nice to have on the front panel is some indicator as to what functions are selected, especially for the EQ button (only on the remote), and for what radio station is tuned in or what track is playing. Another thing that would have been nice to have (and easy to add) is marks on the dials to indicate the center of the dial sweep range. The mic channel worked fine with my guitar. I was unable to test it with my mic as I don't have an XLR to 1/4 " adapter. The mic channel volume is completely independent of the main volume so you can adjust it accordingly to play/sing along with the selected audio source. With the guitar, I didn't hear any difference using the mic tone dial. (I think it was designed for 2 singers.) The USB/SD card slot works as you would expect. If you plug in both a USB drive and a SD card. whichever one you plugged in last will play. The FM tuner is adequate but not great. It works best when the attached antenna wire is fully extended. The remote has volume "+" and "-" buttons that only effect the audio source. They do not effect the mic channel but are further governed by main volume dial. The EQ button cycles through "Classical/Pop/Jazz/Normal/Auto" modes in that order. I can tell the difference as I cycle through the modes but I don't know which one is which. Some functions are only accessible with the remote and the remote IR connection can be kind of iffy. The sound? For this, I plugged in my (computer w/ a keyboard controller) piano using the back panel input jacks. This is where the unit shines. The bass notes were deep and clear. The top end could be a little crisper but it's enough. Overall, it has a good sound. There is room for improvement but it has lots of features and is not bad for the price.Read full review

The wife wanted a small stereo system to play in the house where she could plug in her USB stick and listen to her favorite music. For the price I paid I was not expecting much but was amazed. Sound quality is great and the treble/bass adjustments really let you dial it in. I believe it is more for karaoke but works as a household sound system if all you want to play is radio or USB. It is compact enough to fit about anywhere and is big sound in a little box. Well worth the money.

This unit has great bass response and looks pretty awesome too. The only drawback was that not all the remote buttons work. But, I really don't need a remote so it's not a problem for me. Mail was a bit slow, took longer than the norm but arrived unscathed. Probably UPS issue. Overall, very happy with this product. Thank you.
