Bought one for parts and it was brand new in the box. Still had the zip ties on the gantry system. Ordered another and it took $3.50 at hardware store to fix the bed plate. Therefore I ordered a third that will come next week.

I recieved my printer today and unfortunately I must be the only unlucky one. The issues with this printer will take more than just minor repairs. This does not look like a customer return but instead looks like it came from a chop shop. Build tray and plate is missing, extruder housing cover is missing, back panel is missing. Wires disconnected from main board and extruder. The main power button is missing as well. Hoping the unit turns on at least and then I can begin trying to get the missing parts for it if at all possible. I understand it was parts only but was really hoping it would be in same condition as the rest of the reviews.

My unit showed up. I pulled 12 screws. snapped the rail into its holder. put the belt in its holder. clicked the bearings into its holder. connected to the router. installed FlashPrint. selected the machine. clicked "home". it all functioned correctly. I put the screws back in. adjusted the print head/bed leveling. It all took about 45 minutes. A week later I have printed 40+ models. Im here to buy another one. My wife has printed 5 or so. Shes a novice printer. These are great machines! I wish I would have found this company before my other 7 MonoPrice units. Slicer program is unreal, very functional out of the box firmware. Bridges, overhangs, detail, a little to easy to use, but you can open up more settings when you click print. My wife is loving 3d printing now, shes not very technical but certainly gained a ton of confidence when she started using this. She kind of "disliked" 3d printers before this unit, now she keeps it running 24-7. Im ordering a second unit now so I can have a printer HAHAHAHAA..Read full review

Mine was nearly a new-in-the-box purchase. It was the 2nd generation with builtin leveling & external power supply. U can upgrade the firmware only on-line with a wireless internet connection using the built in tools. The Flashprint wired connection does NOT offer any upgrade. IN formation on the firmware upgrade process was hard to find. FF is not advertising the new procedure. Please note Simplify3D does not support the file types of this printer. The jury is still out on that point. UPDATE = Simplify3D supports the printer only on the USB wired connection. It supports the printer with the FF Dreamer firmware type. S3D shoud think about getting it together with the wireless connection.....
