For many years I used nothing but Norelco 3 head shavers. 2 years ago I purchased a Norelco Sensor 3d and it worked well for about a year. When it was time to replace the cutting heads, I ordered a replacement and it sucks. It shaves nothing like the original. I checked several websites and thousands of customers said they had the same issue. I decided to scrap it and I bought this Braun razor with cleaning system. It shaves far better than the Norelco. The cleaning system is easy with the prefilled cartridges. The Norelco cleaning system was garbage. It would spill and you had to get the exact amount or it would not work. I expect to have this shaver for many years.

I was very happy with this transaction. The vendor provided a good deal on the Braun 7899cc that I purchased, it shipped quickly, and was exactly as described. The box had a few dents in it that would look odd on a store shelf but the product was brand new as described and works perfectly. I would definitely recommend this vendor and buy again. As for the product it is pretty awesome you get close to a normal razor shave with greater convenience and less irritation. I would be lying if I said it gets as close as a razor but I believe the convenience and lesser irritation is well worth the minor trade off.

Great shave, not as close as some of the top of the line Norelco and Panasonic shavers, but the price is much lower. These are "heavy duty" and virtually indestructible, used it for over a year till the blades felt dull. Replacement blades are somewhat expensive. I bought a new shaver for not much more and gave the old one to my wife, she has used it for several years now and it is still going strong (same dull blades). Great value.

Good electric razor. My *previous Series 7 lasted 5+ years and finally needed replacement. The new model has wet-dry capability, which I have yet to try. Use Williams Lectric Shave and it does a great job. Chose this over the series 9 for the lower price, more compact head and better drying capability of the cleaning base.
