Works great for what I expected from it
For anyone bothered having to cycle through all the settings to turn it off, be at peace. Just hold the power button for ~3 seconds, and it will turn off. Works well, glad I purchased it and wanted to share that information about the power button as I saw a lot of complaints prior to my purchase.

What did they do??
This fan is a replacement for the same fan but a few years older. On high, the speed is slower than my old one set on low! Very disappointed.. thermostat set on 70° and repeatedly turns the fan on and off even when temperature outside is clearly below that.. did I just buy a lemon??

Meets My Needs
This fan replaced a "loud" window air conditioner and I could not be more pleased. It is quiet and with one fan blowing out and one fan blowing in, the room is cooled by 10 degrees when the sun sets. I have only had to run it on the low setting and I am sure the high setting would be even cool the room even more. I have trouble sleeping so I needed a quiet product and the Holmes fan does the job!

Fan-tastic!!
Works perfectly. Draws cooler outside air in so much better than the stand-up fan I have. The only change I would make is to swap the thermostat function for a remote control. Whenever I've used the thermostat, the fan cycles on and off constantly when it reaches the temp setting. Although the fan is not loud, the noise of it cycling on and off is noticeable and a bit annoying, so I don't use that function at all. On the other hand, a remote would make it more convenient to change speeds and switch intake and exhaust, which works independently on each fan. Still, that's a minor thing. This unit is very well made, very quiet and the larger fans are far superior at moving air in or out.

A good option for a window set fan.
I mounted it vertically in a 3' H slide window. The cover pieces closed it in fairly well. It has a wide selection of temperature on/off settings and a high/low setting for each. Reasonable quality construction and not too much fan noise, but not silent.
