This art house film is an Israeli production that got a lot of attention on the festival circuit. It's one of a few recent movies that deal with Arabic/Israeli conflicts both inside the Middle East and also Europe, where the conflict is usually between Arabs or Israelis dealing with prejudice and violence between them and White Europeans who often don't want them in "their country..." This film, "Ajami" is a good example, but it isn't as strong as some other similar films that didn't get this kind of recognition. Films like "Wolf," (Netherlands), "Khamsa" (France), and especially "Bethlehem" ( Israel), which is similar but much stronger. For those interested in the subject, see "Ajami..." but seek out the other titles first..
