    Handy back up tool.

    Great back up tool when your electric Ice Shaver/crusher is kaputs! Nicely built with no jagged or sharp around handle area. Of course this works on rectangular blocks of ice and requires a lot of elbow grease but the ice comes out smooth and fine. Not snow powder smooth, just a little coarser than snow cone texture.

    Pretty good shaver once the blade is sharpened

    Using this straight out of the bag, it was difficult to use and took forever since it was so dull. I sharpened the blade just using sandpaper of varying grits on a flat surface, and once it was fairly sharp, this ice shaver works fantastic! Haven't ever used one before, so I can't compare to other brands, but it produces large flakes of ice with ease and seems to do fine.
