It is a standard American Advanced Algebra textbook. The book is extremely heavy. I don't want my son to carry it in his school bag; I bought a spare book. The textbook is similar to the most of the modern American textbooks. It does not develop students' problem solving skills. I compensate for the weaknesses of this book (and other books of that type) by teaching my students to solve problems from other textbooks. I use Singapore Math as well as Russian and Mexican textbooks. Mom, Math/Physics teacher, Ph.D.
Great book with real-world information. Recommend to anyone teaching Algebra II.

It tries to apply real-life situations to it, which is kind of nice, although most of the situations would also be capable of being worked out through logic. It's also pretty easy to figure out what the teacher taught when a class is missed. It is hard to understand the concepts behind certain areas like piecewise, though.
