Unbelieveable, impossible to put down.
This book is so riviting, and the ideas discussed are so important. Extremely reavealing about the unknown misteries of the Soviet Union and communism all over the world. The author puts is the way it is. Book was in perfect condition, looks and feal brand new.

Rather partisan but important details on historical threats and vulnerabilities
Valuable and interesting but keep your thinking cap on. Very partisan subtext. First clue: It is published by WND Books, whose website helped popularize the absolute lie regarding Obama's birth certificate. It details soviet tactics of inflitration to discredit the West, and of smearing people. BUT does it then use similar over-broad innuendo to imply that all Obama-era Democrats and dissenting voices are essentially communist? Many passages echo talking points of the far-right media outlets that the book actually promotes by name. Its last chapters really go off the rails, showing true colors. It essentially seeks to paint all political argument for economic fairness as whole-scale 'disinformation'.

Disinformation is not just a defunct Cold War strategy. It is applied routinely in every day America in the framing of stories by the mainstream media, smear campaigns against candidates and the speeches made by foreign leaders. Ion Pacepa and Ronald Rychlak’s “Disinformation” provides the history behind the strategy, and how it was perfected in some of the most devious but effective campaigns of all time, including fomenting Islamic Jew-hatred in the Middle East beginning in the 1970s, the trashing over many decades of Pope Pius XII as “Hitler’s Pope,” despite his saving the lives of thousands of Jews during the Holocaust, and hundreds of other movements designed to undermine the Western world and bolster the aims of the Communists. With the impeccable clarity and entertaining anecdotes that could only be provided by one who executed the strategy at the top of the KGB system and practiced its methods, Lt. Gen. Pacepa provides a compelling story of how the Soviet Union came to employ more agents in disinformation and propaganda then as traditional spies worldwide during the height of the Cold War. In order to counter an enemy, one must understand its nature, its goals and its tactics. Ion Pacepa and Ronald Rychlak have assembled a book that provides insight into all three. This book explains with documented evidence the plan of the Soviet communists to lie, distort and misinform the public about their own news and the issues of the day, going back in history to reveal the origins of lies that are still circulating today as actual history. The agency set up to accomplish this purpose employs thousands and their goals to infiltrate media, government and education organizations in the west have been largely accomplished. That's why so few young Americans are educated about the evils, oppression and misery of communism and socialism and the politicians are openly bragging that they will establish it in the USA if elected in 2020. The deep roots of these lying techniques are explored with horrifying proof of their origins. You really don't know what you don't know and what you think you know is probably not true. You have to read it for yourself. A former Soviet intelligence officer risked his life and family to get this information to us, and remained in hiding for the rest of his life.
