The SK 800 (3007) has an extremely heavy cast metal locomotive & tender- NO plastic here! This one was kept in immaculate condition with the instruction sheet, proof flag, box & all wrappings. It has NO 'Zinkpest' (metal fatigue) whatsoever, which is common to this model. It is a beautiful 4-6-4 locomotive with an 8-wheeled tender. A superb example of Marklin quality!!

The Marklin SK 800 locomotive was produced for many, many years starting roughly in 1939 with the SK 800 in Green with claw coupling. It was then made in black, green again, and then in a burnished (gray) color during WWII. The locomotive was produced in various forms under a different model number far into the 1970s...

Wonderful example of 1930’s German stream line locomotive high quality components but the early versions have zinc pest affecting random pieces including tender and even locomotive bodies. The 50’s are more reliable but less charm losing the open brush exposed screws but still attractive and fun to see run.
