This item is a terrific low cost steam switcher in the Lionel line. It has sound, steam and remote control, and certainly looks great. It's only drawback is that it hasn't got all the features of a TMCC product. For example, it has no squealing brake sounds. However, it is a viable alternative to the higher priced TMCC.

This work caboose really complements the Dockside Switcher that I purchased at the same time. Although this caboose came from a set that had been broken up and sold in separate lots, it arrived perfectly and I was eager to put it on my train track with my Bethlehem consist. The paint scheme on this caboose is brightly colored so it will attract the attention of the junior toy train enthusiast. With a little oil applied sparingly once out of the box, this car silently continued to be raced around my modest layout.

I was surprised when I received this loco as to its weight. All metal and runs great. Smoke and sound are wonderful. For the price, a loco that runs with my LEGACY trains, it is a fantastic deal.
