The slip and seal cap works as promised: every time I uncap the pen, it writes smoothly, and the ink flows just as well as the first time I used it. The ultra extra fine nib is smooth, if it is held at the right angle. Holding it too steep to the paper makes it scratchy. The nib width is great for me. It performs well with the Platinum cartridge I received with the pen, and that ink works very well with my planner, which has Tomoe River paper. There is no bleeding, and little show through. Unfortunately this pen gets rough service with me, but it is holding up very well. Only a few scratches visible anywhere, if you look close enough. Pen has a nice weight without the cap posted. I can't post the cap to write, but I have small hands.

The Platinum 3776 Century pen is a great design. Its "Slip and Seal" cap really does keep the ink from drying out -- I can confirm that when it's uncapped it will write immediately and perfectly even when it's sat idle for weeks. The "C" (a.k.a. BB) nib is a round nib that writes an extra-broad line that really shows off the color of the loaded ink. My pen wrote perfectly out-of-the-box -- no adjustment of any kind was required.

The pen is beautiful. I love the blue color. The nib was a bit misaligned. But it was an easy fix. Just a couple of push down with your finger nail on one side and it's done. After that it write perfectly
