My brother and I spent hours racing slot cars as kids. We could only dream of a set like this. Two mapped-out track options, 3' X 6' and a 4' X 8' and enough pieces to really let your imagination run wild. Now my boys are starting to show interest in something other than their tablets and youtube. I wish I had held on to our old cars, but I am finding some of the same ones on eBay. The Mega g+ cars that come with this are so much faster than anything we used to have it blows my mind. The adjustable power level transformer is a great idea, on low you can pull full throttle without crashes, good for the little guy, intermediate is like what I remember, and expert is very challenging, very fast and throttle control is tricky (in a good way). The pieces go together pretty easily, but maybe come apart too easily but it hasn't been a problem and it doesn't seem like the connecting tabs will break off like the old style AFX track. Nice layout, plenty of track footage. A bit of a challenge to set up, due to its size. Seems to run well so far. Don't know about the durability yet, as I've only had it together and operating for a few days, but so far, so good.

I admit, I bought this for myself. I had various sets growing up and it was hours of fun that I wanted to relive and once I started looking around, why not go big and this set is quite that! It's super easy to set up and you can configure it any way you want. Easy snap together parts. I just placed the cars down and off they went. My cats also love it, or hate it, I can't figure them out?:-)
