Want to experiment with new sounds. Max does it. Want to rock out to old classic sounds. Max does it. And, I'm just scratching the surface at what this pedal can do. Sound quality is studio grade. You can only run one algorithem at a time, but several of them contain multiple effects. Super easy to set up, and navigate. I had mine running in stereo with midi controller in no time flat. Only negative, and it's a small one is that you can't bluetooth with an android device. Support from Eventide has been excellent. Since I was second owner, had to have them unregister first owner before I could take control of pedal. They were fast, courteous and did a follow up to make sure I was able to register successfully.

Exceptional sound, well thought out design and great build quality. It's incredibly versatile. Although it's a 'one effect at a time' pedal, many of the algorithms actually have multiple effects in them that you can control within a particular patch. So, you can have - for example - spring reverb and tremolo, or delay with modulation and reverb, or EQ with compression & boost, all with aux/hot switch and/or expression control of any parameter from within that patch. Also it has a built-in tuner which is very accurate. This replaced several pedals in my collection: a Strymon Timeline (which is admittedly great, particularly thanks to the excellent looper), a Big Sky, a Flint, a Source Audio collider and a tuner. The effects are studio quality - easily on par with the likes of Strymon. Many of the reverbs and delays also have freeze and/or infinity settings, so you can have infinitely repeating delay or reverb tails to play over, like the 'hold' function on a Timeline or Big Sky. This is just an amazing pedal. I am an electronic sound designer and bought this for use with my various synths and audio devices. The algorithms are simply wonderful and this pedal can do about anything I can imagine as to altering and affecting sounds. I use the audio interface via USB to control and change the various settings, but you can also use a bluetooth device to do the same. A HUGE advantage of getting the Max version of this pedal is you get every algorithm now and into the future. The build quality of the hardware is excellent and I don't have any negatives to say about this. You can see all kinds of reviews on YouTube, even some for those of us who don't play guitar ;) You can't go wrong with this amazing device and I'm so glad I bought it for my electronic studio!!!

I viewed this product a couple times at the NAB show In Las Vegas. I Made the purchase of the "Harmonizer" model and have had the greatest time trying all the tones. My Route is Guitar Volume pedal, Wha pedal, Ocd Dist, H9, and A Looper to the amp. I control it easiest from an I pad. Im working on my set up for live performances and will likely purchase the core so as to use two effect simultaneously.

I purchased the H9 Harmonizer Eventide which comes with nine algorithms that serve very well, making it possible to purchase new algorithms in the app. I recommend taking Harmonizer or Max now. Core, given the many attractive options available for sale in the app, you will inevitably not resist and spend good money on them. The H9 Harmonizer was a great starting point. Wonderful for its tone, versatility and usability.
