Current slide {CURRENT_SLIDE} of {TOTAL_SLIDES}- Best Selling in Acoustic Electric Guitars
Everyone knows the history of the J-160E. It's a truly great guitar. It does exactly what it was made to do. It's a Les Paul jumbo. It plays and sounds like the electric guitar it was made to be. It's OK as an acoustic. Just fine. Not the Stradivarius of acoustic guitars, but very nice. The Lennon strap is priceless on its own. The first constructive criticism I would offer is that Gibson should have made the finish satin, just like the Epiphone John Lennon "1965 Revolution" Casino. Lennon's actual J-160E is that, and it would have taken Gibson very little money and effort to make the Peace model more authentic. Second, they also made far too many of this "limited edition" model, IMHO. Not as "exclusive" as the other Lennon signature models, which are increasing in value much more quickly than this particular model. Still, I have them all and love them almost equally. This is a really great guitar. I expect it will be in my family for generations to come.Read full review
