I record music for a living and needed a guitar with humbuckers a price that reflected its occasional use. I had previously owned a PRS SE Soapbar II and loved the neck and bridge, but didn't bond with the P90s, so I went looking specifically for a PRS SE with hummers. As it turns out, a used PRS SE Singlecut is, without a doubt, the best value in any humbucking guitar made by anybody. It plays great, stays in tune, looks far better than the price would indicate... the wraptail bridge gives the guitar a great rock "keerang," and the stock humbuckers are smooth and balanced. It feels like a lighter Les Paul, or a more balanced SG... and the SE gig bag is the best ever. A new one costs bout 6 bills, and easily blows the doors off similarly priced guitars from Epiphone and others... in fact, I like this guitar better than all the entry level Gibsons. I paid $295 for a guitar I would have felt was a pretty good deal at much more than twice the price... if you can get one like this, with the gig bag for $300 or so, do not hesitate. First off, I am a beginner and don't have much experience with a bunch of guitars. This PRS SE Singlecut is one beautiful guitar. I bought it because of the 25" scale and the wide fat neck. I have fat fingers! I owned a Les Paul Studio that I just could not play certain chords without having my fingers interfere. They both have the same nut width (1 11/16) but for some reason (I am sure it is the neck shape) I have much fewer issues with the PRS. The fit and finish is perfect, the frets are finished better than the Les Paul frets, the guitar fits me better, sounds great and for a price half that of the LP. I don't know how they do it. For a beginner that doesn't want to break the bank and still get an instrument that won't frustrate you, this is one to consider.
The PRS SE SINGLE CUT TREM is, I believe the best quality guitar for the price range. AMAZING CLEAR SOUNDING HUMBUCKERS, THE BEST TREMELO SYSTEM I EVER PLAYED. LIGHT WEIGHT, EASY TO PLAY, GREAT FEEL OF THE NECK. SIMPLE 2 KNOB OPERATION & BEAUTIFUL AESTHETICS!

The entire PRS SE line made in Korea is outstanding quality at an affordable price. Buyers, however, should familiarize themselves with the differences among each model because they have different necks, electronics, scale lengths, bridge configurations, etc... Pick the right model for your playing style and you won't be disappointed.
The PRS line has always been a favorite of mine. This is the first Asian PRS that I've owned. Neck feel great, frets are very good, fret ends are filed well, and overall finish is very nice. This guitar has been modified with S.D. pickups so can't comment on the original sound quality. For an inexpensive electric, the SE version is well made and plays great. Shipper was great to work with and shipping was fast and reasonable.
