There is no comparison to other less expensive 12 string guitars. If you want an expressive instrument that is fun and easy to play this is the instrument. When I first took it out of it's case the strings were loosened for travel. After tuning it up I notice the action was so low that the high e strings were buzzing around the first fret. I raised the action on the high side of the bridge and then had to re adjust the intonation to make up for the slightly higher action. Once the strings were set up to the proper height it payed and sounded like a dream. I am very satisfied with this purchase. The price was thousands of dollars less expensive than a new model and it looks, fells and sounds just like a new model.

Wow! I was looking for "that sound" -- you know the one, Beatles/Byrds/Petty/the list goes on -- and I couldn't be happier with this guitar! It is a joy to play. I was worried about the many complaints I've seen online about the narrow neck, but I've got decently big hands and after about a week of adjusting to the guitar, I can't say I have any problems with that anymore. I would buy this guitar a hundred more times if I had to do it over. It sounds best with a professional setup--the necks can be a bit tricky on Rickenbackers--and Pyramid strings, but I wouldn't call either of those a "must". I look forward to many years of enjoyment out of this guitar. It's not just an instrument, it's a songwriting inspiration.
Just bought a Fireglo Ric 360/12 and it is definitely one of THE classic American instruments (although some of the guys who made if famous are British). The sound is instantly identifiable...Ticket to Ride, Turn Turn Turn, Mr Tambourine Man, Harrison, Petty, McGuinn etc etc etc...there is only one way to get this sound and that is to get you one of these. The negative: The fingerboard could be a little wider. And as with all Rics the volume and tone knobs are laid out differently than your typical guitar. And the price. The positives: THAT SOUND. And the look...and the luxurious Ric case, and the pride of ownership that you will hopefully feel after laying out around two grand on one of these bad boys. Sell three of your other guitars and get one of these as soon as possible. Dan
