Ten Dollars 1922 Gold Certificates

The 1922 10-dollar gold certificate is a paper bill that depicts the first treasurer of the United States, Michael Hillegas. His name is printed underneath his picture. The front of this paper bill also includes four number 10s, one in each corner. Dark ink is used for a majority of the printing, while gold tones are used for the serial number, a large X, and the seal on this US gold certificate. This 1922 10-dollar certificate features the words "gold coin" along the top and the word "ten" on each side. The word "ten" also appears twice on the bottom of the front of this paper bill. This US gold certificate uses the number 10 in two different fonts to aid in preventing illegal reproductions. In addition, the back of this US gold certificate features bright red print. This 1922 10-dollar certificate displays the US presidential seal in the center with a bright sunrise-like design around it.
