In 1960, Frank Sinatra decided to create his own record label. The result was the highly successful Reprise. Throughout the following three decades, he recorded and released a unique selection of music that still transcends time and history. This monumental boxed collection gathers together every original master studio recording ever issued by "The Chairman Of The Board". Each recording has been remastered for an extraordinary listening experience. All songs are presented here in the original chronologically issue of recording dates so you can hear his entire recorded legacy on this historic label unfold in a brilliant showcase that gives depth and warmth to what was already a stellar career. His contributions through the Reprise label only helped to solidify his status as an entertainer of endless talents. Among the stand-out moments here are such classics as "Summer Wind", "My Way", "New York, New York", "Strangers In The Night" and the classic duet "Somethin' Stupid", which was recorded with his daughter Nancy. That is only a part of this outstanding set that pays homage to an American legend. This set was originally released in 1998, shortly after Frank's untimely passing, so it remains a qunitessential tribute to a man who many people feel became one of the most important voices in American popular music. Sounds as good or better than most Reprise LPs. Recommended for completeness including unreleased material. Caveat-CDs are in order of date of recording, NOT LP issue order.

Exceptional Sinatra especially at what many consider his best years. Sinatra seemed at home in the record label he would eventually purchase. Does it get any better than Lucky Be A Lady Tonight? I think not, enjoy. GC
