I was a big fan of the original Bionic Commando on the NES. I also played the original on the Game Boy. I must have missed this one when it was released. The color, graphics, and gameplay of Bionic Commando: Elite Forces is definitely a step up from the original. I recently rebuilt my GBC and I'm enjoying this cartridge. The game save feature is pretty handy when running into a zone or boss that's tough to beat (the cartridge battery is still functioning!)

Bionic Commando: Elite Forces (Capcom, 2000) - Game Boy Color It 's a very nice game, the sequel of "Bionic Commando" for the Game Boy Classic. Similar to it upon many aspects, it makes some nice innovation. Difficult as most of retrogames, exciting for some respects, for those who have played with the original Game Boy it gives so many memories to the mind, a tour into the past that never ceases to fascinate. In terms of gameplay the game offers the inherent difficulties of the "Bionic Commando" series and its great satisfaction when you complete the levels and the history. There is some bug in the saving system, which was not in the case of the original "Bionic Commando" for Game Boy Classic, that did not have that kind of saves, using the system-passwords in order to continuate the history. Told this, it's a great title and a great game. The series "Bionic Commando" for Game Boy Classic - "Bionic Commando" for NES (quite different from its portable and playable in some levels, through the use of the mythical gun "Zapper") - "Bionic Commando: Elite Forces" for Game Boy Color is a true monument of beauty for all the fans of retrogaming and a monument now taken an overexcellent version for PC, "Bionic Commando: Rearmed" (with all the typical taste of retrogame) and "Bionic Commando" (also for PC), in three dimensions. With games like this Capcom has written the history of the videogame.Read full review
This game is among the top at pushing GBC to its limit. The smoothness in motion is near unparalleled on the platform's family. Forget your usual jerky scrolling and slow walking as seen in most original GB games. Bionic Commando Elite Forces is proof perfect that the color upgrade achieved what it aspired to. And they didn't stop there (Nintendo assisted in the game's development). Voice acting is even present, dated sounding as it is.
The game is really fun its a good piece for my gameboy collection I like it thanks.
