If you’re looking to add this to your DS collection, chances are you’re either a fan of director Suda51 (like me) or a hardcore collector. Either way, what you get for your buck is a very ugly port of a cult PS2 classic that had previously never been released outside of Japan. The story, an unconventional and quirky affair in which “searcher” Sumio Mondo is tasked with investigating a bomb threat on scenic Lospass Island, is the only real reason to give Flower, Sun and Rain a shot. Gameplay consists of traversing the various locations on Lospass Island, solving puzzles and inputting the answer as a sequence number. It’s unique for sure, but since the solutions to the various puzzles are always the same on each play through, there’s very little to encourage replay value. A very specific game for a very specific type of person, anyone with a casual interest would be best off watching a video walkthrough instead.Read full review

Before I saw this game graphic is so pretty,I thought this is a good game. When I got it,I dun think this is a good game coz it's so difficult to play.I would not recommend this game to everyone.
For the Suda51 fan's that started with Killer7, this is exactly the game you're looking for. Interesting story, beautiful presentation for the DS system, memorable soundtrack (Masafumi Takada, the same musician for all Grasshopper games), and unique game design. I wouldn't say it has much "action" to it compared to Killer7 or No more Heroes but has a serious tone to the game just like Killer7. You play as Sumio Mondo, a "searcher" who is sent to this mysterious hotel, the Flower, Sun, and Rain to stop a terrorist from blowing up airplane but everytime Sumio tries to make it to the airport he is always stuck helping odd guests at the hotel and at the end of each job the plane blows up. For some reason Sumio is stuck in a time loop so when the plane blows up the day starts at the beginning again. You can use the buttons or the touch screen for all actions, the only thing I'm going to pick at is there are no "settings" So you can't adjust the volume for the music or sound effects which is a shame because I would really like to hear the catchy music more than the fake robotic voices. This game is more for the Suda51 fans but newcomers will find it odd at first but yet again it completely depends on what you're expecting to get out of the game. What shines the most out of this game is the "Story" the game elements are mostly puzzles which aren't as tough as most people are saying?! Overall this is a unique game well just like most Suda51 game's its a "one of kind".Read full review
