I bought the T4i as an upgrade to my T3i. By comparison, the two biggest improvements were to the shutter and AF system. The faster shutter is also quieter, which I actually like more than the speed. It sounds a lot like the 60D, and is almost as fast. However if you are looking to do a lot of burst shooting the 60D has a better buffer size to accommodate, where the T4i is somewhat limited in this regard Autofocus for shooting stills seems to be a bit faster than what the T3i was able to do. As for the hybrid CMOS sensor, live view and movie mode AF has certainly improved over the T3i, but it is still just a consumer level feature. Anyone expecting to make quality videos with an SLR is still going to have to focus before they shoot. The fact that this hybrid sensor was released on the XXXD series (generally entry level), rather than the XXD or XD series should be some what of an indicator as to how useful a professional would find this feature. The touch screen is actually more useful than I first thought it would be. Instead of hunting for the right setting with the arrow buttons, you can jump right to it with the touch of your finger. Possibly the biggest advantage of the touch screen is that you are able to change settings while recording video silently, as opposed to pushing noisy buttons.Read full review
Great DSLR for the money! Crisp photos and excellent video make this an awesome all around camera. Considering all the Canon cameras have the same sensor from the 7D all way up to the brand new T5i, this camera has everything and more then its younger and older counterparts except a zoom option which was left out.The touch screen is responsive and easy to use which is an added bonus to the already feature rich camera. If you're looking for a good entry level DSLR look no further.
I have tried out the canon T4I it takes takes some pretty good images and it is easy to use I have been doing photography for about 2 years I'm not a professional by any means but I do have photography skills and this is a great camera to use.

I am an enthusiast and this camera is great for pics and video! the touch screen is easy to use. So if your ready to take pro pics and ready to move up from the point and shoot and know the difference between F stop and iso you will love this camera! looking forward to making videos, time-lapse, and taking some great portraits with some great bokeh, happy shooting!
It is the first time going from a Nikon to anything and I felt this was so easy to use. Not sure about the actually photos printed cause I have not printed them out on a large format or even a 4 X 6. I am planning on getting so images. The lens make the camera. So if you are going to buy this or any $500 or up camera invest in the lens first or buy a package deal to get started. Wide angle, tele and a portrait lens are great. Fisheye lens is a great one too. Take a class and learn every thing about the camera to get what you paid for - it will bring :joy and happiness! This camera is a good value.
