My mother had this book my whole growing up and some of the biggest hits with us where out of this book. When I moved away I was always calling her for this or that recipe out of her Farm Journals Best-Ever book. I tried to get a new one at a couple of new bookstores - but no luck. Finally I found one on ebay - now I'm using it freguently not just for my old favourites but also for anything new. Every recipe either of us try out of this book we love. It's safe to spend the $$ on the ingredients because you know you'll love the result:)
My husband and I received a copy of this cookbook as a wedding present four decades ago. It is worn and stained from use. Obviously there are good reasons for the wear and tear! In addition to the recipes themselves, I enjoy the tips and the other comments from Farm Journal subscribers that appear at the top of each page. This copy is a gift for my daughter and my son-in-law.

This is one of the best cookbooks ever. Uses everyday ingredients and all the recipes are very good! You will get many complements from this book.
