It works fine. These stoves have either standard fuel tank caps or the older standard 3 piece caps. They take different gaskets which are still available. I made a replacement towel wire hanger from a 24 inch thick steel rod. To make a duplicate of what was missing would have required a 38 inch and a fraction steel rod. No matter. What I made works. Notice the shape of the tank and the color. Flat ends and copper colored. More modern vintage stoves have torpedo shaped ends but are still copper colored. Modern stoves have red fuel tanks. All these older ones take Coleman white gas.

When I was very young my father bought a membership to a local Lake and campground and then a camping list had to be created. I remember the large Coleman Lamp, 413E Coleman stove with rear towel bar. Mom hung everything on this bar, cloths (Kids) socks wash cloths etc. Then every morning in the dewy brisk air the noise of Dad pumping up the 413E Coleman Stove and lighting it soon to the smell fresh coffee and bacon frying. When bath time arrived the Coleman 413E was in use again with mother boiling water to aide in bath time of three then four gnarly little kids with youngest going first (8 months old). The Coleman 413E grew up with family camping and was used for many years obviously because of it's durability.

Fuel tank was soldered on, so I will have to give it a going over before I try it. I am happy with it, as the stove itself is “very nice”
