I've always thought the Keurigs are wider than they need to be. Other than that it is a nice unit. I did have one message that said something like, "the coffe pod you just used is not approved, please use one of the many approved one with the Keurigs logo. I thought, it seems to have worked fine, what's the problem? All I need is a coffee maker that won't allow me to use the coffee that I want. I did find a cup that I ca put my own coffee in. It hasn't told me I can't do that yet. So far I like it.

The Keurig is easy to use and easy to clean but the coffee is just warm not hot like my old Keurig! Also, I don't like the cup size options and for hot water I need to run it twice just to fill my 16oz cup for tea! I loved my other Keurig that just died its just unfortunate the newer models are not as good! For the $79 price I will use it but not happy with it!

The Keurig K-Cup brewers are wonderful devices. Whether you’re living alone, have a modest side household, or for the office environment (though it’s not recommended for commercial purposes). What these products allow us to do is to manage our coffee, flavored or not. If we want one cup, it takes less than a minute to brew and there is no mess. This has done away with the large coffee pots and the white paper filters that get left over the weekend to have people return to science experiments gone awry. Specifically to this model, it allows a single serve cup (K-cup) and provides the ability to brew a large carafe of coffee. Truth be told, we use the carafe for filling water and not to hold coffee as the individual servings are simply too convenient. It doesn’t take a lot to clean one of these things either, you simply open and close the lid (without a K-cup) and flush hot water through the system. Yes, this model does allow you to brew up to 6oz of water simply by pressing and holding the button! Also, I have not had a problem with the updated 2.0 version of K-cups, it works with all of the generic coffee that I’ve been purchasing from places like Costco and Walmart. If you are single, if you live in a college dorm, if you want the ability to make a quick cup of water for noodles or tea, if you want a decent capacity for coffee without running back and forth to the faucet / cooler … then this is for you!Read full review

At first I was not happy that I could not use the other brand coffee that I had purchased......so I called Keurig and they did replace a few that I could not use...........and I Purchased a insert that I could use as well. I now love it and use it more than the two Keurigs I had before. I do love Keurig (even have a small one for hotels and camping). It flows water much better that the other two.....water comes out straight and before it splattered everywhere, Also they are working with so many other companies that will soon work in the Keurig.....Folgers, Donut shop, Starbucks, Maxwell house and so many others now work. Oh and most important..........I love, love, love that I can make a carafe of coffee now so company has a cup right away also.

This is the same Keurig as before, except with a carafe for a larger pot. However, you can ONLY use K2 cups. They have a little barcode embedded in the label so you cannot use a generic brand of cup or the self fill K-cups. You can go to lengths to "trick" the sensor eye so you can use other products, but that seems a bit much to have to do for something that is so expensive in the first place. The new K-Cups are about $11 for 16 cups! Also, the carafe would have been a great idea, but it doesn't have a heater in it and even with the lid on, the coffee is cold within the half hour or so. NOT impressed.
