The only reason I gave it four stars is that when it is on a heavy use, it gets really hot and the fan is loud. I can stand an inch thickness and half a pound heavier total of five pounds or less for more room for the larger heat sink that way the CPU, RAM, GPU can breath easier and the performance will be much more improve. When you are using a heavy load like video encoding or 4k encoding, you need to plug it to an AC outlet to give the CPU, GPU a full juice of energy. Thinness is good for Macbook AIR that does need much performance, Macbook Pro does. Mac OS is using less system resource than Windows, you will see when Windows is running on this machine and compare both. Four cores i7, 16GB of RAM, only 2GB of Video memory (4GB should be minimum, 6GB is recommended for supporting dual 4K displays). The 4x PCIe SSD drive performance is OK, it is not really twice the performance in real use vs the pro version of regular SSD drives as advertised but you paid premium for it. Read full review

I ordered a 15" macbook pro (mid 2015 model) and had I not bought it myself, I would have assumed I had just bought it from Apple brand new. The laptop came in the original box in excellent condition and everything was already installed and ready to go. All I had to do was tweak a few preferences and transfer my data from my old laptop. Easy! I'm very happy with this computer so far and have no complaints or regrets. Cheers! - DH

Replaced a similarly specced early 2011 MB Pro (that was still going strong, but starting to show its age) with this one when the 2016 MBP was announced (I hate dongles and don't need an emoji bar). The main improvements for me were the better GPU, the lighter weight, and the gorgeous retina screen. For an i7, 16GB of RAM, a 512GB SSD, and a 2GB dedicated GPU the $1,800 I got it for was an absolute steal. Absolutely recommend. The 2016, not so much...

I have a 13in MacBook pro retina early 2015 bought new in 2015 going excellent that made to look for 2015 15in with dedicated graphic card. I had dropped idea to purchase full spec 15in back in 2015 for that exorbitant price and went for new 13. Received an item that can be judged as top notch grade B condition for an advertisement of grade C. I handle my 13in with care, this one also was of similar handled condition, except that there was a dent at HDMI port. All other aspects looked similar to my own 13in so happy to get one that clean. Opened, powered on right away, no problems with booting, ran set up, it had come with El Capitano installed, just downloaded and installed Latest Mojave, no problem seen. Looking forward to load Windows 10 (more Linux OSs) on VM like I did on my 13in. May never go for a Windows laptop as Mac works best of many OSs.Read full review

Very nice computer, as described. I believe we got a "B Rated" one (small cosmetic wear and tear). It looks and feels like a brand new computer to me. It came packaged very well. Highly recommended!!
