The quality of materials is good but the weight of the tablet is a bit too much for me. Hardware is good, especially after taking in account the resolution of the screen. The only drawback is the amount of free RAM(around 1gb), half of it is reserved by GPU. Battery life is average, close to galaxy note 10.1 in usual mode. There's no battery saving mode and the charging time is around 7 hours. Software. My nexus 10 runs on stock android 4.4.2 kitkat. It works fine and smooth everywhere except Google chrome. I am not sure about the reasons of it(hardware or software) but hiccups and stuttering are a usual thing in it. Overall I like this tablet. It has a good screen, decent hardware and latest firmware for a bargain price.
This is the third tablet I have tried , and by far it has it all over the other two and they were supposed to be high quality I is vary fast, great for surfing, playing games, watching movies, and or listening to music. The speakers in the front give better sound , the high resolution picture is awesome, and the speed is great.

I didn't buy it to use as a tablet, I bought it to use as a monitor for my camera. I bought a camera that connects to my wifi and I keep this tablet on and under my TV propped up by a 3 dollar (picture or book) stand. I didn't want to spend 200 on a camera with an NVR again as the last one ran so hot that it burned up. So I bought this, a 45 dollar camera and the picture stand and so far it has worked well. This doesn't run hot. When I go into another room I can carry it with me, but the battery doesn't last long, doesn't matter to me as it is plugged in almost always, which may be killing the battery IDK. Once in a while the app for the camera crashes so the tablet times out and shuts down, but that has only happened once in the week I've had it so far.

I like most of the features, but the point of the bad, and very bad battery life is a point I can't drive home enough. I may get 4 hrs of life, and have to recharge. May sell it to get a unit that gets 9.5 hours of life (asus). Aside from that, I really like the tablet. Oddly enough, it heats up during use, not charging. Apps are good, I have to use Puffin for flash, and I wish there was an alternative, like having flash in chrome. All in all, I like the tablet, expensive, but nice screen, probably a 8 out of 10. 2 points off for battery.
As I am writing this review off the nexus 10 I must say I am extremlly happy with my purchase. As my first tablet I couldn't be happier with it for saving the money just to purchase this I have constantly found something new to discover about this tablet from features to remarkable applications and games from googleplay and amazon store. There is no lag on the touch screen even while running multiple application, there have been a couple times where it seems unresponsive so I simple shut it down and letnit catch up from my extended use of it. The screen size is great I am happy to have purchased the 10 over the 7 just for size alone, but the multiple features it holds over are well worth the extra cost such as a micro HDMI port. The screen is also easy to clean I just wipe it off with my shirt sleeve. battery life is amazing I get at least 6-8 hours easy and this is running games and apps, of course I turn them off when I stop using. If your worried about apple having more apps than android or certain ones have no fears the stores for android have tons of applications and even application based off more popular apple ones I admit that some are not the same but I hardly care defently not enough to go purchase a 600 dollar iPad simply for a few unique apps. The charging cord it came with seems heavy duty and is now my go to cord for all it can fit, the booklet was a smart idea I very small instruction Manuel that is just what you need to get started and a bigger version is include free of charge on Google books smart idea to have one pre installed. The size is not a bother with the correct case and the thinness of it is just as great making it portalble, I was thinking of purchasing a laptop but with the abilities of this (Bluetooth keyboard and. mouse, connection to my TV and applications allowing me to use word.) I have lost that thought and look forward to using this for my school work. There are a couple things that would make it better, but thats the same with everything and it always follows under personal prefence but honestly some arrows on the key board would be nice to allow you to move the cruiser to certain points in the paragraph instead of having to touch it and miss it by a letter, of course there could be and I just haven't discovered it. For my first tablet I couldn't be happier with it and reccommend it even if you have to save for it like I did. And for a couple hundred or just one hundred under a new iPad this is worth the moneyRead full review
