I really like this coffee maker. Lots of features and, most importantly, it brews great tasting coffee. I haven't actually tried to make a full carafe yet - we already have a brewer with a 10 cup capacity. We use the Keurig when only one of us wants a cup. I like being able to select from several cup sizes and strengths. I use an EZ Carafe with paper filter to make travel mugs. I would have gien it five stars, but the timer function doesn't work. I've set it to turn on in the morning, but it doesn't. Not a big deal to me, but I can't give it a perfect rating.

Works great for making coffee other than that, the fact that now you must use the 2.0 cups but there's ways around that. The main reason I popped for the 550 was for the instant hot water feature for baby bottles. Every time you go to use the feature it take 2-3 times of doing the open and close the lid cycle to even get any water out. This is supposed to be like a "smart" coffee machine. It needs a software update or something to work out the bugs. Seems like keurig jumped the gun getting this to market because they wanted to make more money on the 2.0 k cups! Overall it's great for coffee and that alone. Save the money and buy the 300 series if you can.

The K550 works well and is easy to use. I use my own selected coffee brand and have it ground fine for use in a reusable k-cup. It gives me a very good cup of coffee. I have a sensor hack using a Karafe cup (Green Circle) to allow any brand or type of cup use and magnetic hack to allow the full-menu option. All options are available from this menu.

I did a lot of research on the net before buying this. I wasn't too keen on the idea of only being able to use Keurig k cups, but being a member of the Keurig club I am willing to get deals on orders. After watching videos saying that you have to hold the brew button to get hot water and it only gives you 6 oz. I found this to be not true when you push the water icon on the screen it gives you a choice of the amount of water you want and you do not have to hold the button. I have owned several Keurig coffee makers and several other brands but I find that Keurig make the best tasting coffee. This coffee maker has the same features as the Vue but it also does the k cups and I have the my cup from Keurig so I am able to use my own coffee. I do recommend using filtered water and using their water filter too. All in all I am happy with this machine and it does everything I need it to do. Now I feel it is only fair to add a con to this so I will say I would like the coffee to be a little hotter but to get around that I pour hot water into the cup or carafe before brewing that seems to help. Thumbs up to Keurig on this Machine can't wait to see what is next.Read full review

I enjoy the options this machine gives me . It brews quickly. it has a nice "touch screen display". However it has a lot of plastic that appears flimsy...It is used every day so only time will tell if it holds up...
