I love almost everything that Samsung makes.... Pros: 1. Curved screen 2. Many customization like gaming , cinema, etc 3. Great Screen stand plus option for wall mount Cons: 1. Price drop fast 2. Cheap Hardware( the screen is made of plastic and feel like a toy) 3. The screen stand could be little higher over all i will say is a great screen for the price I paid

I was super excited to get this monitor, especially based on the feedback I read online. When I unpacked it, the monitor was beautiful. Nice sleek design with a thin screen edge. A work on art on my desk. Then... I turned it on. Oh the horror. :( I'm comparing the image ot the 24" two year old Samsung it replaced. The old, smaller monitor was much, much better. Crisper blacks, better contrast. Better picture. The characters were fuzzy and the contrast was not good, even with setting (brightness and contrast turned up to 100%). The "easy on the eyes" feature just turned the picture yellow. I finally tuned the image to crispness by setting the monitor to "game mode", but this had the unwelcome effect of adding "halos" around black charaters on grey backgrounds. Grrr. The screen size is great, but not with 1920x1080 resolution. The pixes are readily visible, even with my 45 year old, work strained eyes. So, I decided to 're-gift' the new monitor to my wife. :)) She was super excited at first. Then after about 20 minutes, she came into my study, asking for her old monitor back. Next stop, my 6 year old daughter. Perhaps a giant purple Barney is a good match for this piece of junk.Read full review

So this is LED, curved, and looks like new, no dead pixels, no scratches/scuffs on body or screen. Beware that if you on ATI graphic card/, in order to use full screen via hdmi, be sure to go to Catalyst Center and adjust scaling, to correct for black border. Analog (VGA) looks good too, but use hdmi of course. Overall, very good value, and monitor looks quite prestigious, in office for example.
