Used Coleman items from the time I went camping with my own Mom and Dad. Looked at other manufacturers and their tents were nice but way overpriced. If I wanted to spend over $300 for a tent, I'd just save that money towards an amount I'd be saving to buy a pop-up. This Coleman 8 Person Instant Tent is just right for me and my husband & whoever might want to tag along. You won't believe it, but because we were so excited about getting the tent, we actually set up the instant tent in our LR/DR at the apt. Took up whole LR/DR but it only took us first timer's about 5 minutes to set it up. Really!! No problem. Sets up just like it reads in instructions and also how it showed on videos on utube. Want to also mention, VM Inn (by way of e Bay) is a good place to find good prices and camping stuff. Note VM Innovations are strict on returns though so follow their rules when needed. Well, we're going to go camping soon (not now Aug 2016 in FL but in late SEPT or OCT). Can't wait. Bye.Read full review

I say "seems" because I used it for a 4-day weekend and had to return it due to a manufacturer error. The entire weekend was extremely hot with little to no breeze so I can't report much on airflow or well it stands up to windy conditions. It didn't rain so I can't report anything about how water proof it is. It is very spacious and private inside. Windows all the way around are very nice. My biggest surprise and complaint is that there E-Port (makes it easy to bring electrical power inside your tent) for an electrical cord to run into the tent. If you want to plug anything in you have to run the cord thru the door of the tent, therefore never able to completely zip the door(s) closed. Very frustrating especially when it came to keeping the bugs out. Pros: Spacious and very roomie inside. Can be very private, especially with the divider up. Great amount of windows, Relatively easy to put up and take down. Much easier with 2 people. Cons: NO E-Port!! Heavy and very bulky. There is no way to break it down to make it more compact. Not good for people with smaller cars. I have a VW Jetta and the tent took up half my trunk space.Read full review

This is a very heavy tent, and although it is easy to set up, with the slightest bit of wind it collapsed. After setting the tent up a second time, it collapsed and broke after two days of use. I am working with the distributors to get a refund, but trying to pack up the tent and get it in the same box and disassemble it after it breaking is very difficult. I will write another review if the refund process goes though well.

I was a bit upset that there is no portal for an electrical cord. Honestly, I expected so much more out of Coleman. Truly in a quick and easy set up and take down.

I bought this tent to road trip across the country with and it has exceeded my expectations. After a long drive I don't want to struggle setting up a tent and this makes it hassle free. It's perfect for my girlfriend and I to have space for all our belongings during the move and room to sleep. We have space for friends as well! I highly recommend this tent.
