This bike rack is decent for the price. We've carried 2 adult bikes and 1 child's bike, but only for a short distance. It had to be tightened down in the hitch to keep it from being wobbly. However, there is still some wobble in the upright part of it and it cannot be tightened. The tie-downs seem to do a good job, plus there are extra tie-down straps to use too. Overall, I think it's well worth the $30 I paid for mine. Travelling a long distance may prove otherwise, but until then, go for it!

Well its the cheapest bike rack I saw and I wanted to test and learn before I commit to something more expensive. It's so cheap no one will steal it. but then there are the downsides. It doesn't fold so it is always sticking out,,okay if you want cars to keep distance to you but be careful parking and backing up The orange holders shift..they do not stay in place..i have only used if for one bike and they are not wide enough to hold the bikes frames them selves. Velcro straps need to be longer..on a bump one of the straps unstrapped due to the force..use bungee cords as a backup The bolts on the top part did not tightened all the way meaning that there is always wiggle but I don't believe it will come off The rack although made of steel is not or appears to be strong enough to truly hold four bikes as I think if this was tested would overwhelm the bolts holding this in place Finally, the bottom part (the piece attaching to trailer hitch) showed signs of rust after the first rainstorm I did not get this intending it to be my last trailer bike rack but to learn with a relatively cheap price (to move one or two bikes around). Previously, I had a 25 plus year trunk strapped carrier and this is better than that as it does not sway when I turn a corner or need to adjust manually every time I installed on my car. However, there are better racks out there and I will move on eventually.Read full review

Issue one: The steel square tubing is too large with the plastic adapter, had to squeeze in the tubing on one side by using a vise, to get it to insert into hitch. Once the square tubing was modified, it would slip in and out with some effort. Issue two: Retaining clips on the bar lowering bolt, and the hitch bolt are almost impossible to remove by hand due to their stiffness. I replaced both with snap clips from the hardware store. Structurally it seems to be a well made piece, but more attention should have be given to the functional aspects regarding the user.

The bike rack is well made for the money. I have a 2" receiver and the plastic adapter allowed the rack to rotate in the hitch. I replaced the plastic adapter with a steel adapter and I'm happy with it now

I trust it with 4 brand new TREK bikes every time I go out. It sets-up quick. Mounts solidly to hitch. Welds look good. Quality is exceptional. Rubber insert absorbs some bumps in the road and allows the rack to flex without breaking. It has a neat tilt feature that allows me to grab gear from the back door of my SUV without having to remove it from the hitch. The only thing I wish was better, is that the velcro loop straps are pretty short for modern mountain bike frames.
