**Update 1/26/2016 *** These are in fact TROY OZ as stated on the assay card: GOLD CONTENT (TROY OZ) 1 The card also cays GROSS WEIGHT (G) 31.1034 - The Perth bars are thicker than others like Royal Canadian Mint. I have those as well and the Perth appear smaller but only because of the increased thickness. Google the physical specs and you will see. I'm not sure why people are trying to bad mouth this offering. It is a very nice looking bar with the ebay logo on the bar and also the assay card. The price is very good. I wish I could buy more. I think these will increase in value as a sought after collectors item *** end of updated comment *** As I write this review I see that 997 bars have been sold. I'm assuming that there are only 1,000 being offered as it says more than 99% sold. just received mine and the serial number is 10xxx so it looks like they start at 10,000. The bar looks great and so does the package. If the run is only 1,000 then these will surely go up in value. I actually saw someone else on ebay trying to sell them right after BPM started offering them. Looks like ebay quickly took down the bogus site. Wish I could have bought a dozen more. Got a few of the silver ones too.Read full review

Quality Product. I dont believe in branded gold bars. So I went with simple philosophy, any 24 kt Gold is Good. An its from reputed Organizations like Perth Mint and eBay.

This appears to be quality gold. I got it at a great price for the 1 troy ounce. It is a unique bar. It is limited numbers. Bottom line: I like it and I believe it is a great addition to my collection. I believe it will continue to rise in price, just like it has been.

Made available for the thrifty investor at a reasonable price without all the bells and whistles of "name brand" bullion.

These are one of the nicest looking ounces, it would be great if Perth Mint would package these in a rigid container.
